I'm am very pleased with this pair of shoes.Some of the things that I like about these are,they are very comfortable like all of New Balance,they are durable,they breathe very well,and they are stylish.These shoes(like most of New Balance) are worth every penny

I bought this shoe because I have wide feet, and New Balance shoes typically fit well. This is no exception; it hold my foot well, without feeling either too loose or too snug. Much more cushioning that my old shoes, which were way past their prime. I wear these shoes just about every day, and they are great!

21st century tech, 1970's feel

The new balance M708BY seemed to be a bit smaller than I had expected from a company that in the past was a winner to my duck-like feet. I have appreciated Marin County's readily available running trail system for the past 8 years, most of which were in either New Balance or Vasque trail runners.
I understand that trail runners are a crossbreed between light airy and elegant track shoes and strong stable burly hiking boots. If this is the case the shoe takes a little too much after its mom and not enough after its dad. The shoe is very light and with much of the upper made of true mesh, it is very cool for the usually hot boggy feet. Unfortunately, the base of the shoe feels a bit to light and narrow for trail use. Also, the upper, though light, doesn't hold the foot in place upon lateral movements as well as other combinations.
This is a great road/track shoe, maybe even light trail, in hot weather. Trail shoe...not so much.

I zero in on NB trail running shoes and picked this one mainly because it was on sale, expecting a so-so shoe that you were trying to unload. Was I suprised; this is an awesome shoe that really serves my needs as a casual street and trail runner. Thanks for the great deal on a great shoe.
