Good looks, light weight, and fit compliment this running shoe from Merrell. Although there are only a couple of shortcomings from this user. The first being the lacing system. While unique and easy to use, it does have a tendency to loosen up while running. I only owned my pair for a little over a year and now the lacing on one of the shoes has snapped in half rendering that one shoe useless because of the unique lacing system.Merrell states that the laces are made from Kevlar. The material used to make bullet proof vests. A closer inspection looks as if the Kevlar material is a thin thread with a wrap of a nylon outer jacket for protection.I have contacted Merrell about this problem and am waiting for a solution to this dilemma. I have at least 6 pairs of Merrells. I love them all even this pair but....For a [$] shoe, the lacing could be better. Or maybe it's just an isolated incident. Because of this problem I cannot recommend this shoe at this time.
Very nice lightweight trail shoe!

Good fit and finish. I added some Profoot cushion inserts and started hiking. Virtually no break in period. This shoe is not stiff but does seem rugged for it's intent. 8.5/10
I love Merrells, but not this model

Merrells are usually great. I ordered these shoes in late November for my husband and they have already worn out. The tread on the bottom of one shoe (the heel) has separated and the inside of the heel itself has worn down to the foam. We will buy Merrells again because other shoes have been great, but these did not last long at all.

I'm a beach walker here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and they were made for the hard sand at the waters edge. I love these shoes over New Balance and Ecco's that I own.

These shoes are the best sneakers I have ever owned. When I first took them out of the box, I couldn't believe how light they were. I don't use them to run, but I do walk a lot, and they are unbelievably comfortable. I'm very picky about the shoes that I walk my dogs in. I have tried many kinds. These are the most comfortable yet. I kept the silly laces in them, and have grown accustomed to them. I wouldn't go back to the regular laces even if I could find them. One caution with colder weather, air flows right through these. The mesh is very light, you can actually see through it. It is sturdy, but cold when it gets chilly out. These were my 4th pair of Merrells (out of 5), they last well. My second pair of sneakers. I wore out my merrell mesa ventilators but it took quite a while. Much longer than normal sneakers.

These were great out of the box. Got them, took them for a run same day in the rain. Came back no sore feet and dried quickly, enough as a matter of fact to wear them to work a few hours later.

The overdrive by merrell is one of the best shoes I've ever worn. Its great for hiking and active sports but also just for wearing everyday. The vibram sole is so comfortable, I recommend this shoe to anyone that wants a comfortable athletic shoe.

Merrell has got it right with this shoe. Great design for off-road jogging, but so comfortable you'll wonder how they got all that comfort in a well-fitting, lace up vibram-soled shoe!
I bought them for off road jogging but wear them everywhere. The easy-snug lacing system is a big plus, especially when taking the shoes off. Just pull up on the lace-clip and - presto - shoe slides off.

This has to be the Best off road shoe I have owned today. Have not had any problems yet to date. Bought them at the start of summer. Love the lace system. Holds well with out having to re-tie them every hour like my last pair from NB (you know who I'm talking about). Love Them and would buy again. Also they wash well.
