Brooks running shorts are generally yet well designed, and worth the extra money. These shorts demonstrate the attention to detail for a the serious runner's needs, including (and not limited to): extra lightweight fabric that wicks moisture away from the body, side velcro-closure pockets for food, a front inner pocket for cards, keys and money, double d drawstring for extra comfort.

These are terrific shorts. I spotted them in a running specialty store, but knew I could get a better price. Thanks, onlineshoes.com. The thing I liked about these were the velcro pockets on the rear hip. For anyone who's ever had trouble with those foldover gel pockets, these shorts solve all that. The pockets are easy to get to with one hand--no more strained shoulders, pulled abs and broken strides while trying to wrestle what you need out of your pocket. These easily hold gels and my tissues for blotting off in the heat. The shorts are cute, comfortable and very light. They're long enough for more modest types, but they're short enough not to bind while running. Since these shorts have velcro, I wash them in a lingerie bag so that I never have the velcro catch on any of my other running stuff. I have two pairs and they are now my "go to" shorts. I bought the grey/black combo and the sorbet (pinky salmon)/black combo. I really liked the surf/kiwi combo, but I with all my summer shopping, I had to draw the line. :(
