I was looking for a lightweight shoe that was more than a footglove and less than a heavy serious trail running shoe. This shoe is an excellent compromise. I run obstacle courses in dirt arenas, on grass, and occasionally on rubber mats or Astroturf. The tread pattern on this shoe is aggressive enough to manage hard packed dirt, but low profile enough not to trip me up on rubber mats. For very slippery, such as dry grass, I would need to go to a soccer shoe. Good fit with plenty of room for the forefoot. I would have liked to have one more lacing hole.

I have used these inserts for additonal arch support and cushioning in my workout shoes for several years. The formable footbed conforms to the contours of your feet. Additional heel cushioning in latest pair only made them better. After I began using this insert, my frontal foot pain went away completely. I buy a new pair with every new athletic footwear purchase. Highly recommended. Less expensive than other inserts that don't work as well.

They provide plenty of hiking support, but they're also great for a walk around the city (and they look cute with a pair of jeans!). I live in Hawaii and wear nothing but flip flops, even to work. I usually wear Tevas, but wanted something with a little more support, but not as hard and heavy as my Chacos. These don't rub and they're extremely comfortable. It's a little weird putting them in the oven, but man oh man does a comfortable flip flop come out. Oh, and they look a little weird. Not for the vain.
