Flume Mid WP Review:
before i started becoming a hiking boot fetishist, and buying $300 danners and the like, i purchased this in store to use on 5 hour photo treks. that's across urban to beaches to hillsides to forests, or wherever i'm shooting.
in store it felt comfortable, sat low for stability and very light weight. seemed fine. well, i can't speak for durability as i've only used the pair a half-dozen times, but on all other fronts this is an amazingly comfortable, lightweight, stable and enjoyable boot to wear. it's not 1-piece leather that will probably last decades like my danner mountain light II, but that's a $300 shoe.
nevertheless, issues of durability over time aside (and this in fact may last forever, i don't know), it offers everything you might want, including nice styling, in a light, comfortable and stable boot that will do for all types of hiking...maybe not serious mountain climbing, marches through the Sahara, but for normal hiking use, i cannot imagine doing better for the incredible price of under $100.
