These are my daily use shoes. The only time I will not use them is in sub zero snow, or above 80 degrees. I have snow boots and water shoes for those other times. Excellent hiking shoes, but they are not for hardcore backpacking. There are brands that are more comfortable, but soft soles wear out too fast. I bought these because of durability, waterproof and comfort.

Not a fan of the shoestrings. They could be a little heavier and not so light. Also, I wear a 10.5 and ordered that size, but found them a little short. I returned them for an 11 and they were perfect. So add a half-size to your order. The comfort is amazing from the very first time you put them on. No breaking-in needed. And they appear very well made.

The most annoyng feature is that if you lace your shoes all the way to the top, they end up being tied across your foot instead of the top of the tongue. The tongue is too short and not padded well enough. This shoe is uncomfortable out of the box and will need considerable breaking in period if it is to become more comfortable.
