6 mile run in fairly deep snow left my feet remarkably dry and comfortable despite slush and puddles. Good traction and cushioning in the snow but a rough ride when on road surface.

As an all-round outdoor kinda guy, I'd say this shoe sets the standard. I broke them in(put them on) at a 3-day music festival which required more walking than I can really even explain. My feet felt great all weekend.
Good product. I was skeptical about the lacing before I bought them, but it turned out to be a good thing.
I haven't had the chance to get them out on the trails or on the bike or anything yet, but I don't foresee any problems in any aspect.
The only thing I don't like is the fat tongue--it kinda makes my pants bunch up around the top of the shoe---but who likes pants anyway?!

this shoe rocks , but the lace system gets bothersome. but i hate laces anyways. these shoes are great for running around in the woods and climbing on slick stuff

I purchased these shoes for hiking and everyday use and I couldnt be happier. The lacing system sucks right around your foot and feels never comes untied. I tested the Goretex by standing in a pond about 75% up the shoe. Probably kept my feet in for 10-15 seconds and DRY FEETS!!

This is my second purchase of Salomons and im really impressed with the new features on the GTX. I use these shoes for trail running and I dont see myself switching to another brand anytime soon. Im thinking of buying another pair for a 50 mile race a size larger to accomodate foot swell. Thats cool though, ill just have 2 pair in my stable!
