I love Reebok Classic's, plain and simple. My feet feel so much comfort when I slip them into these sneakers. I am a married 25
year-old father, and I know that the big stimga many people have is
that they are "old man's" shoes. However, I can confidently say that
these sneakers transcend generations, and I love my classics.
I bought two sets of the Reebok Classic leather sneakers (size 15 wide), which this review covers. One set I have used for the past year as only trainers (sports, yardwork, general dirty sneakers) and one set to be the clean, stylish sneakers (going out on a date night with the wife, social events, etc).
-Very comfortable. My feet measure 14 wide, and although the Reebok
Classic leather sneakers run narrow when matched up to my feet (see
con), I found that by ordering the next size up (15 wide), that my
feet were in heaven.
-Very attractive. They look amazing, and let's be honest they do stand out, but in the best way possible. My wife loves it when I wear
these sneakers. She says that with some jeans, or even sockless with
some shorts they are just such a head turner. I convinced her to get a pair as well and it has the same effect on me. Even with my own pair I just catch myself looking at my feet in the reflection, amazed how awesome they look.
-Very versitale. These sneakers can double for all sports, yardword, or for more formal events (the one's you keep clean at least). They also hold up to a fierce 3 set tennis match, an hour long basketball game, or a multi-mile run!
-Price. I've never had to pay more than $40 for my Reebok Classics, and I've owned 6 pairs of various classics since I was 18.
Con's: (note: small issues and I still give it 5 stars)
-Durability. They don't last as long as New Balance's, but I have no problem with that. Again, the pair I use for cross-trainers have lasted well into year 2. I'd estimate that hardcore use will get you 2 years out of them.
-Need to go up a size if you have wide feet. The shoes are still very snug around my feet, but with a wide foot, you have to go up a size and always select "wide."
As I said I currently own two sets of Reebok Classic leathers (white/grey) and they are by far the best sneakers ever, for both men or women!
