my son i a dissabled kid and can only wear shoes that don't have laces. i would apreciate to people who sell this kind of shoes to give extra saving. it looks like everything that is fo dissabled kids are expensive. it looks like they get ripped because of their dissability. the only people that will understand them are parents that have a dissabled kid.

I have found that because of the sizing being so generous I cannot adequately tighten the shoe across my arch. The attachmment point on the shoe, the velcro receiver is narrow and short. Alternatively the amount of velcro fabric on the strap is too short to allow me to tighten the strap across my arch. All else about this shoe is top notch and comfortable. My feet have been dry and warm during this extremely cold and snow filled weather.

I am a large person with 14-XX feet and orthotics. I had to reinstall the inside pads with the orthotics even before the shoes were broken in - in order to get a snug fit. Now they are even looser. The upper single hook and loop straps are too stiff and the loop area is too short - the straps are always coming loose. The uppers are too stiff and the double straps are poor in snugging up the shoes. I want to separate the double straps (lower straps) into single straps. The right shoe rubs on my ankle bone, and I have to keep that shoe looser. The soles are kind of slippery on real smooth tile wet floors. Otherwise, the shoes wear very well and seem to be good quality this first week.

I wanted a waterproof hiking boot that had velcro straps instead of shoelaces because the shoe laces become untied often and I thought the straps would be better. The problem is that the velcro straps do not pull the boot snug against the foot and the foot can move around in the shoe which can cause blisters. I had one starting on the top of my big toe of my left foot after several hours walking in these shoes. Perhaps making the bottom strap like the top strap where you have leverage in pulling it tight back in the opposite direction would help. I have worn this size shoe all my adult life so I dont think a different size would be the solution..I was able to add orthotic inserts to take out most of the slop in the fitting so I can wear them for casual events but they wont work for me for any heavy duty hiking.
