This men's outdoor boot offers a waterproof leather upper with a waterproof shell to keep you dry, while 400 grams of Primaloft™ insulation, an antimicrobial Polartec® lining, and an ActiveHeat™ insole keep you warm. An Air Cushion® midsole works with a compression molded EVA footframe for long-lasting support and comfort. The rubber sole of the Merrell Snowmotion 8 Waterproof boot features deep lugs for traction on difficult surfaces.

This is my first pair of Merrell's. I had heard good things; I'm not dissapointed. VERY warm and well-sealed. I've used them in very frigid snowy conditions and wetter conditions. Very well insulated and comfortable upon first wearing. They're 8 inches high, so they are a little stiff in the ankle, but have caused no problems and I expect them to loosen up a bit.

Delivery was fast- price was basically what they were costing anywhere else, but selection of sizes was a bit better.

Shoveled snow for 45 minutes in single digit temperatures - my fingers were freezing but my feet were totally dry and warm. Deep treads make for great traction. These are not so heavy as to make you tired either.

I wanted a boot that was warm and that you could slog though snow in, but that also had the support and comfort to enable you to take a hike outdoors and not leave your feet aching. The Snowmotion is a great boot in all of those regards. It may take a little breaking in or getting used to, but I tried many other boots and I would have to say this one is among the best.

I am an avid geocacher and try to spend time every weekend outside hiking and exploring. My Merrell Moab Mid Gortex boots are great as "3 season" boots, but they were too cold in the snow. I was skeptical about buying boots online, but was very glad I did. The Merrell Snowmotion 8 boots fit like a glove from the moment I put them on. The boots lace up nice and tight. At first, I wasn't used to the snugness of a full boot after wearing a mid for so long, but after two hikes, I didn't notice the snugness. The footbed feels wonderful on these boots and they are very warm while trudging through the upstate NY snow. The lugs on the boots are huge and give great traction and when the snow gets too deep and I put on my snowshoes, the ridge on the back of the boot keeps the straps from slipping. A great boot!!
