I cannot believe how light these shoes are it does not even feel like your wearing any shoes. Except for the fact that you are. They are also very comfortable.

A superior product providing ample arch and ankle support, the Merrell Outland has an aggressive Vibram sole and heel the provides maximum traction on both rock and dirt surfaces. Good for climbing loose scree with enough support to make lightweight backpacking with these shoes a pleasure.

These are a great everyday shoe as well as a good hiking shoe. Used them up the Vernal falls/Nevada Falls loop in Yosemite this weekend after two weeks of average wear. Found them very stable, good traction, and comfortable with hiking socks. Would really recommend these shoes to other hikers.
