Initial use was a weekend of hiking. First day rugged, muddy constanly varying terrain. Shoes felt secure, no problems wearing in. Second day was flat trail and walked about 3 hours at a brisk pace. Adequately comfortable. Cleaned easily afterwards. Have since adopted as ny everyday out and about shoes. Previous two pairs of "lifestyle" shoes were Salomon, which are still the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, but no real complaint about the Merrell's

Service & Delivery comments:

Paid for next day air to be sure I had them for the trip and arrived on time. Called customer service to arrange change from original shipping instructions and they were extremely helpful and got the order exactly right. Well packaged. Greta service.

I love the shoes. I love the look. A lot of people have been asking about the shoes. I had a break in time of about three wears. Now it fits my foot perfectly. Not great on arch support. I wear orthotics and have not tried them in the shoes yet. May be better with the orthotics. I am a Boy Scout leader and they are very comfortable on camp trips and day hikes. Have not tried on overnight hikes yet.

Shoes felt very stiff at first and needed a 2 week break in period. Wear these shoes every day to work, bouncing between warehouse work and office tasks. Haven't tested their outdoor waterproof abilities. Hoping to have warm/dry feet through the fall, winter and spring months in cold, damp and snowy New England.
