Renegade GTX® Mid Review:

This is a great light weight boot with good ankle support. I use them for long day hikes wearing a 20 pound pack and find the boots very comfortable and supportive for such a light weight boot. While not as supportive as my heavier all leather hiking boots, I find I'm not as tired at the end of the day do to the lighter weight.

these have been my daily work boots in a busy fire station. black leather boots that are watertite, and wear perfectly. i keep 3 pairs and rotate them, a little tlc and they last and can be worn every day, going up and down stairs and being on your feet all day long.

Tibet Pro GTX® Review:

I didn't keep them. But not because it is not a great boot. I ordered the Lowa Tibet Pro to compare with the Lowa GTX Camino in a size 13. I kept the Camino and returned the Tibet Pro. I do a lot of day hiking up steep "semi-trails" with poor and rocky footing. The Camino seemed to be the perfect balance of stiffness and lateral stability that I was looking for. The Tibet Pro fit perfectly also. It was tempting. I have a narrow, low-volume fit and very few boots fit me. I have size 13 feet. My street shoe is the New Balance 993 (although soon I'm sure it will be the 994, then 995...etc.) in size 13B. The NB 13AA also fits but it a smidge too narrow. The Tibet Pro would be perfect for what is intended, backpacking with heavy loads. My concern was that the incremental stiffness over the Camino would be an issue coming down steep slopes with poor/rocky footing.

Third pair-must be good

Use these to hike in low hills every day and they are perfect for that. This is my third pair (walked myself out of the first two pairs). These boots are very comfortable right out of the box. When I wear these out, will hope they are still making them.
