Face wet weather and rocky terrain with the Klamath Mid hiking boot from KEEN. The leather upper is lined in a waterproof, breathable textile membrane to keep you dry in rainy conditions. A cork/EVA heel insert adds comfort as it absorbs shock. A rubber outsole with multi-directional lugs provides excellent traction. The KEEN Key-Tech™ stability plate offers forefoot flexibility while it maintains the stability you need to conquer the trail.

I have several pair of Keens and have been very happy with them. However, there's something wrong with the lacing design of these boots--the top hook doesn't lock the laces, so no matter how tightly I lace them they come loose almost immediately. Also the pattern of the loops is just wrong for my foot, so if I lace the boots tightly it's painful on the top of my foot. They are very sturdy and waterproof, but since I can't lace them properly I'm having trouble wearing them.

I use the Keen Klamath for hiking. I just returned from a hiking trip in NC. I hiked areas of Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls with my 6 month old son, in a carrier on my back. The boots are very supportive and help lessen the impact of the extra weight. We hiked over 10 miles and not problems with my feet. The boots are awesome.

Bought these for hiking... Usually hike 2-3 times a week about 10 miles each hike. Initially were a bit stiff and uncomfortable, however after two hikes they seemed to break in well. A tad bit heavy but provide good support and keep your feet dry! Great traction as well!
