Brought this shoes after a compelling need to have boots. What to go else than FRYE, heard many good reviews, so I decided to buy it. Wish it was made in US, anyhow its good. Opt for a size less than your actual size for FRYE. Was and is little uncomfortable, hope it would get better.

Frye does not make women's boots in wide widths, so I decided to do an end run and shop in the men's department, where the standard width is D (women's wide). I usually wear an 8.5, so I ordered these in a 7 and they are perfect. Initially I hoped to add an UGG fuzzy insole for a cozy feel, but the insole made the toe box too cramped so I removed it. Otherwise I have been very happy with these boots. I LOVE the "old weathered boot" look that this have right out of the box (not a fan of shiny one-color boots). The color variation is very appealing. They do take some breaking in, and if you go a month or two without wearing them, you have to get used to them all over again. But they are fabulous and will last FOREVER, and they are a classic so they won't go out of style. They also "saved" me when I had to kill a scorpion in the bedroom of a cabin earlier this year! I feel ten feet tall and invincible when I wear these. I am also a personal shopper, and I always recommend Frye boots to my clients who are looking for boots, because you can't beat the value for your money!

I bought this very same boot in a the shorter 8R size and in the antiqued finish... but it's the same boot and I love it. I've gotten many compliments from guys and ladies. Goes great with a pair of jeans for a Saturday afternoon... or out on the town on a Friday night. I didn't want a typical cowboy boot with pointed toe and etching... just a stylish cool looking boot. This is exactly what I was looking for.
