Nice look, stylish but not garish. I didn't understand that you could use either lace (it comes with two). I tried to lace it up like it is in the picture, but the gray lace was too long. Now that that is resolved I really like them. They are VERY COMFORTABLE.

These are my thrid pair of Docs. My previous pairs were all made in England...now it looks like that may be fading away. If they keep the same design, manufacturing elements into the shoes, they'll be ok. These things just go and go. I had one pair for almost 6 years and the sole was barely even worn out and I wear them everyday during spring, winter and fall. The inside of the shoes will fall apart way before the outside, and I've proven it. I wear them to work ( bus casual ) regularly with chinos, etc.

I bought these after my Bass boots wore out.....I have always heard good things about Dr Martens. So I tried a pair...and these are amazingly comfortable shoes...they feel like I'm wearing sneakers and look good with jeans or causual pants.

Great boots overall. They do take a bit of breaking in, the leather is stiff out of the box, but after a few days' wear they are flexible and comfortable. I have a feeling that I'll be wearing these for years without problems.

I first ordered the size 7, which was way too small. The return/exchange process was very easy, and I had my replacement shoes (size 8) in hand quickly. The boots look nice and feel very sturdy, and have a nice roomy toe box. They are a bit heavy, and stiff, but I'm sure after the break-in period they'll be great. I like that they're not too high -- I don't feel like I can't move my ankles. Overall, I'm very pleased.
