These boots are great! I've been wanting a new pair of Dr. Martens for years. I wore them in college as they were pretty much common in the hardcore/punk music scene. My old pair lasted me 10 years. I ordered the size 8 which said they were equivalent to the women's 10. They were way too big. I returned them[...]and got a new pair[...]in a size 7. The new size fits just right. Of course they are stiff initially. They are a good quality boot. You just need to break them in a little. I was actually able to wear them all day right from the start. I did use Dr. Martens wonder balsam on the leather to help soften them up a bit. My son was jealous and said he wants a pair. Maybe when his feet stop growing....

My husband wanted no other boot but this one, and onlineshoes.com had the ABSOLUTE best price on them by $20 in most cases sometimes more! These are great classic docs. very manly with the steel toe. my hubby is very picky and these were the ones he wanted above any others. Super great deal on super great docs!!

These are pretty nice boots overall. The one flaw is the way the tongue is sewn on.The seam at the end of the tongue should be covered with more fabric.The way it is now,that seam and some extra leather are exposed,which folds over when you pull the boot on.If you pull up on the tongue, and slide a finger along the seam to smooth it out,then they feel okay.If you don't,you wind up with a sore spot on top of your foot.I got my pair cheap enough so I can put up with that.

I will use them mostly for casual wear,but they will make good work boots around the farm.They seem to provide good ankle support.I also have the oxford version of this boot-I think it's called the "1925".(These boots fit better than the Doc's I have that are 8-eyelet "Cherry Red Smooth".)One thing that a lot of Doc's boots don't have are insoles-I will add a pair of "Memory-Foam" insoles from an old pair of Irish Setter boots.If you are looking for more cool-looking boots/shoes,do an internet search for "Grinders boots",or "Grinders shoes".They look very much like Docs.

Takes a little while to break in, and I only received a blister on my right heel because I was wearing ankle socks. Feels like you are walking on sponges, very comfortable.
