I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day on concrete floors. This shoe was very highly recommended by my podiatrist and it has not disappointed me! I did order it in a smaller size based on other reviews and it was a great fit. ie I usually wear a 6 1/2 but I ordered a 6. The toes do scuff very easily on this particular shoe, but it will not keep me from ordering it again.

I'm a nursing student and started doing 12 hour shifts this semester. I had put off getting these, even after hearing from many people that they are the most comfortable and most supportive shoes for clinical work. I had had a pair of Danskos a few years ago (the Marcelle style) that hurt my feet so bad I could hardly walk, and I thought that maybe the fit just wasn't for me (I have pretty flat arches). But when I saw so many nurses and physicians on my unit looking cute and comfortable in these, I figured I should give them another shot. I read about the sizing (that you should have a finger width in back and toes shouldn't touch in front) and read a lot of reviews and decided to order a 42, even though I usually wear a 10 in US sizes. Now I know that those Marcelles were just a full size too small for me and that's why they were so uncomfortable. I wore the professionals to my 12 hour shift yesterday and I couldn't be happier! Great support. My body and mind were tired at the end of the day, but my feet felt great.

This is a great casual shoe but my feet are tough so the smaller size was too small but the next size was too big so I can't really wear this shoe. However, it would give great support if you can wear it. The shoe is quite heavy so be prepared for that.

I love Danskos. They have been the only shoe that has brought me comfort and pain free wear. I wear mine everyday at work and casually. They are durable and have sustainability no matter the weather. The only adverse thing I have found with the last pair I bought is the instep was way too tight and uncomfortable. Oiled finish is nice looking. Feel great, but one shoe is narrower than the other and begins to ache a bit if standing all day. I hope this changes once the shoes are well broken in....It does make me question craftsmanship of these.

As a nurse in a busy clinic, I am on my feet all day. Dansko shoes have the BEST arch support available, and keep my feet healthy with no soreness at the end of the day.
