I've never worn steel toes before but I had to get some for work. Chose the Cat Brode ST because they don't look like typical steel toe work boots. They are comfortable and look good with shorts or jeans and aren't too bulky. I just got a half size bigger since my normal size felt snug in the toebox.

Great shoe when compared with my old steel toes- much more comfortable and so light. The suede did rip( near the toe cap) after a year and a half .The toe of the shoe is a little narrow. Great if you replace your steel toes every year or so. The shoes did hold up considering I was running around on cement floors for ten hours a day for a year. I imagine they would hold up longer if not running around.

Got these shoes and there are tough indeed but they are not slip resistant I struggle everyday trying not to slip at work if it's water or oil and it doesn't have to be slot of water just a small amount will have me sliding. Not safe for those uses construction wise with hard dry ground yes.
