A great shoe that lends itself to special occasion wear and daily work use. I have two - for that very reason. One pair stays in the box, and one pair stays ON! Also, once one shoe wears out (usually the leather sole is the only thing to go), this shoe stands up well to resoling. (I often put a rubber sole on the pair I'm resoling, because it makes one fit for rain-and snow wear.) Also, Bostonian's shoes in this style that have a rubber sole do NOT compare to the look and quality and foot support that this shoe provides.

Having suffered from back and knee pains for years and having a posterior lumbar intrabody fusion (Back Surgery) I am always concious about comfort over style. However, I like to have both and found these Bostonians as a good looking shoe that fits the need for comfort. They are lightweight with a good deal of cushioning, both attributes are an absolute must for me. They are a good looking shoe but fit the business casual area best. You can, if you like, shine them up for a night out, but I use them mainly at work. I have, though, taken them on my motorcycle a few times to and from work and the clutch pedal shoe still looks good. Good value for a nice comfortable shoe.
