I previously commented that the strap left a mark. After I washed the strap, the rubberized/textured part of the black strap no longer left a mark on light clothing. I think this bag is a great bag for carrying a variety of stuff that is useful for the day (especially when a backpack is more than necessary), and, because of its various pockets, this bag does not have the organizing issues that many backpacks or other bags have.

Overall the bag is fine for its function. But, a big problem is that the rubberized underside of the strap leaves marks on clothing (e.g., my shirt). (I'm surprised the manufacturer couldn't have predicted this defect.) Since I got a black bag, this is a big problem. Because the bag, as such, serves its function well, I'll try to pick up a collar to protect my clothes from the strap. I'm also waiting to find out how it does in the rain. I bought it to replace a bag the was the roughly same size and shape, but offered no protection from the rain. If it doesn't hold up in the rain, then I'll be back to lower my review.

I bought this size bag specifically to replace the one I was using for the gym. (I still have the small size of this bag from years ago which I was using for the gym. This was when the shoulder strap had a plastic grip on it.) The medium size is just perfect because it holds everything I need. It can hold a small water bottle on the outside. Also, I like it because I can wear it cross-body on my back when I have other packages to carry.
