These shoes are stylish and very comfortable. I had no break in period with the Nashua. The rubber soles are great in the cold snowy winters Boston has. They are very comfortable if you are on your feet a lot. I can't say enough about how great these shoes are. I came online to buy the same pair in Brown.

Fit like they were hand-made for me.

I bought these to replace a pair of Sperry Top Siders. Don't get me wrong, the Sperrys are a very good shoe. I've worn them for years. But, the Allen-Edmonds are like the difference between night and day. They may be pricey, but well worth it. My motto has always been. You only have two feet, don't put them in a pair of $20 shoes. These shoes have excellent support and are as comfortable as a pair of slippers.

Good shoes - Aftersale service disappoin

Shoes are pretty solid but I made the mistake of having my local shoemaker re-sole them and Allen Edmonds wouldn't re-condition them. They don't tell you that when you buy them. After spending over $500 for the shell cordovan LEED 15 years ago, I was disappointed that they were so picky about what they would, and wouldn't re-sole. Fortunately my local shoemaker has been re-soleing them every year or so.
