This shoe was old school before there was the term "old school". The shoe is great with jeans and khakis, but be cautiioned, it has no arch support. Like the Sambe 80 better than the original for those who will wear the shoe for fashion and not intended function.

I have several pairs of Sambas, so I knew what to expect. It's a classic look that goes great with jeans. These are suede, so they have to be taken care of a bit, as with any suede shoes. However, they look best after they've been well worn, so don't get too hung up on keeping them mint. The size is spot on, and the suede is soft enough that after a few wears, it will stretch a bit where needed (in the width). This is a hard color to find, so get them while you can!

I ordered these for my 18 year-old son for Christmas. The shoe is very attractive, but the tongue is a bit weird. The shoe itself is leather, but the tongue is plastic/vinyl and very long. They look like the tongue of a pair of soccer cleats. I was going to return them because I didn't think my son would like them, but it was too close to Christmas. I am glad I didn't return them. My son's reaction was the same as mind. Liked the shoe, not the tongue. He tried them on and the fit was great and they were very comfy. He did not want me to return them and has been wearing them ever since.
