  • When it is time to amp up my run I turn up the volume to The John Butler Trio’s song “Ragged Mile” better known as the “Spirit Song.” The first lines of the song, “I will run yes I will roll…” The song has amazing lyrics that touches the very being and soul of the person connecting with their Spirit. Running is the time for me to retreat deep into the place in my heart, mind and spirit to refortify and strengthen my being to tackle all of life’s oncoming encounters. For sure, running is most enjoyable when it is a deep, inner connection and relationship with self.

Their music takes me back to a time in my life that I was young and free and having fun…and definitely in better shape :) They were my first big concert, my friend and I slept over for 3 nights to get front row tickets.
