In the midst of an early cold weather spell, I decided to treat myself to a pair of the Merrell Yarra boots. Actually, it was more of an impulse buy, but one that happily went above and beyond my expectations.
Cute and cozy, this women’s boot goes from snow to rain to clear and cold without a hitch. No matter what the Seattle weather brings, the Merrell Yarra is the perfect one to wear. For work, for a walk with my dog, for a trip to the mailbox, this versatile boot is already a well-worn favorite.
It’s been a comfortable fit since day one (literally), with an antimicrobial lining to prevent odor (which is great when wearing wool socks) and a molded arch shank for all-day support.
For protection from the elements, the Merrell Yarra delivers. The suede upper, featuring contrast stitching and two functional buttons, is waterproof. A Polartec® 200 lining, spun wool collar trim, and 200 grams of PrimaLoft® insulation ensure dry warmth.
Plus, the Merrell Yarra has turned out to be a goodwill ambassador of sorts. Lots of people like it—and either offer a compliment or ask a question about it.
