If you’re like me, you’re super-excited by the Warner Bros. Pictures film presentation of Where the Wild Things Are, based on the classic picture book by Maurice Sendak, directed by Spike Jonze, and written by Jonze and Dave Eggers.
Max is too cute in his wolf suit. And those Wild Things are simply adorable. Possibly people-eating, yes, but adorable just the same. Which made me think . . . furry wolf suit? Adorable furry creatures? How can I get in on this?
I just had to scour the site for my own Wild Wear.
Below are my choices for dressing the whole family’s feet, Sendak style. Perfect for your Where the Wild Things Are Halloween costume, or just for cozying up around the house. The movie teaches us how much Wild Things love to sleep in a pile; get your own taste of that coziness with these furry slippers.
The Acorn Boa Bootie is perfectly wild. A soft microfleece lining and a multi-layer comfort footbed let you stomp in comfort. Bonus: it’s machine washable. Go ahead and have that dirt fight (just watch out for rocks). Shop all women’s slippers.
Wild Man:
The fur’s the thing with the Minnetonka Sheepskin Ankle Boot. A genuine sheepskin upper that can be worn pulled up or folded down is perfect for long nights romping among the trees. Shop all men’s slippers.
Let the wild rumpus start! The UGG Australia Kid’s Cozy clog offers genuine shearling atop a sole that goes indoors, outdoors, and on imaginary boat rides to Where the Wild Things Are.
Check out all girls’ slippers and boys’ slippers.
