Wedding Shoes for the ‘Maids’

No one likes to be another face in the crowd, right!? So how does a bridesmaid, who is wearing the same dress as five other girls, make herself stand out?

Her shoes, of course!

Whether you are a bridesmaid with free rein over the style of shoes you get to pick or a bride looking for something impressive for your gal pals, I’ve got a few show-stopping heels for you…and I’m not going to save the best for last!

The Nina Galiza will get everyone talking. The tulle and satin roses add a feminine and romantic touch to these bold sandals, and it comes in a variety of colors to match with your color theme. If you are the bride, they even have ivory so you can coordinate with your bridesmaids!

Color can be a scary word when choosing bridesmaid shoes. It would be safe for anyone to choose a simple pump, but why not take it up a notch! The Kenneth Cole Reaction Know Way sandal combines bold color with a trendy silhouette. This sandal is sure to make you stand out among the crowd!

When I was planning my wedding, it was important to me that I find shoes for the girls that they ACTUALLY CAN wear again. The Isola Ibera is exactly this…a shoe that can play the role of both bridesmaid and “girls’ night out.” The cork heel is perfect for your summer nuptials, and the bold suede upper would work perfectly for a night out on the town!

If you’re wearing a very bold colored dress or something with a lot of details, it’s always best to keep your shoes simple. That doesn’t mean you have to forgo style, however. The Steve Madden Haylow, in blush, is the perfect shoe to tone down that look. The neutral color matches with just about anything, and this platform T-strap is right on the mark for 2011 trends!

If you’re always the bridesmaid and never the bride…at least be a bridesmaid with the show-stopping shoes!
