Are you one of those people who can hardly wait for the thermometer to dip so you can pull on your favorite fluffy sweater and slip into a long, tall pair of boots? Me too. The end of daylight savings time notwithstanding, as soon as I get thwacked in the head with a vibrantly hued maple leaf, I know that the calendar has officially ticked over into Boot Weather. (If I had a big enough closet, I’d stock a different pair of knee-high boots for every day of the week, but alas, I do not.) At any rate, here are a few of my current favorite boots of the season that are as comfortable as they are beautiful:
I dare you to flaunt your take-no-prisoners attitude in the sensational Sofft Stockholm, a fashion statement that combines signature Sofft comfort with bold style that buckles up your sassy reputation. This is one very hot boot that you can wear to the office then out for an evening of revelry without missing a beat.
A knee-high boot that cleverly bridges casual and dressy style, the equestrian-inspired

Dressy and chic, the Born Promise boot makes a fine complement to any wardrobe, particularly if you tend to have a collection filled with mostly casual boots best suited for, say, blizzards and torrential downpours. The button details along the outside add just the right amount of pizzazz to this tall-shaft boot, a style that looks great with virtually everything but an evening gown.
Flat can still be fabulous, and very few boot styles demonstrate that fact as well as the
UGG® Australia Abilene. Cute with jeans or a flouncy skirt, the pull-on Abilene has a super-soft suede upper that has all-over square perforations which add unusual dimension to the ruched boot shaft. The high-quality leather sole is a nice touch; rubber insets at the heel and forefoot prevent slipping. UGG® Australia is famous for genuine sheepskin boots, but this shows how far the company is expanding its range.
