  • Well I don’t have any eco shoes, however I do keep my shoes till I cannot wear them anymore. If I wear out a pair of tennis shoes, then I will use them when I work in the yard or wash the car. Same for any boots that I have. I have a pair of 10 year old boots and they are still as good as the day I bought them. I wear them in the winter time and keep them all cleaned and oiled up till I need them again. Same goes for any clothing that I have. I pass it along to family members so they can use them

—By rejsr on September 3, 2010 at 8:42 am
  • My 15 year old sandals are eco-friendly simply because they’re so old they’ve been able to prevent my filling the closet with multitudes of other wastefully-made other types of footwear!

    —By M.A. on September 3, 2010 at 9:09 am
  • The only thing I wear regularly that I know if made from recycled materials is my backpack. This is the first I’ve ever heard of shoes made from plastic bottles.

    —By ranya112 on September 3, 2010 at 4:33 pm
  • Nothing eco-friendly in my closet, however, I wear my clothes and shoes until there’s nothing left. Hey, even after I use old t-shirts for cleaning. I would sure love to add these Timberlands to my closet!

—By smartday on September 4, 2010 at 4:46 pm
  • I would like to win these boots, but I am really not a big eco-friendly type. I think most of the “Green” movement is just “feel-good” pablum for those who what to feel like they are doing something, even if it really does not make one lick of difference.

    —By vl4095 on September 4, 2010 at 6:06 pm
  • I actually have a tshirt that is fully made from recycled coca cola bottles, it is really soft too. I used to have a recycled fleece shirt too but I recycled it and gave it to a friend. And I still have a tshirt that was dyed using chocolate (though earth friendly, seems a bit of a waste of good chocolate!)

—By Lisa A. on September 6, 2010 at 1:33 pm
  • I think every item of clothing I’ve given my granddaughters for the last couple of years is either organic cotton or bamboo. I need to get something for myself one of these days! I do have a pair of Rohde sandals that I picked up in Germany about 12 years ago that I wear all the time.

—By Aisling on September 6, 2010 at 2:19 pm
  • I have a few organic cotton and bamboo t-shirts and yoga pants.

—By heatherzilla on September 6, 2010 at 3:20 pm

—By Dan M. on September 6, 2010 at 3:52 pm
  • My bags I take to the supermarket are made out of recycled Capri Sun juice containers.
