  • It is a tough decision to make… I am a Doc lover from way back. But my favourite is always a classic- the 1B60 20-eye. With jeans, yes. With tights and a sassy short skirt and a cropped jacket, sure. The best, though, is with a pinstriped pencil skirt and streamlined jacket. Suity but sexy. All business with a pinch of fun. Which, of course, is totally me.

  • I am an art teacher and once again since about 30 years ago (after having bought my first pair of Docs) after a trip to Europe where I saw them in action on the streets of London in the Kings Row area, need another pair. It was something about the raw edge of the real Punkers, not the posers that you see in the U.S. now, which made you want to snarl, and take your place on a bench nearby. Now I teach middle school and get snarled at every day by wanna-be students. I need the Dr. Martens 1460w 8 eye croco red patent boots to kick some l3-year-old ___. I would wear them with an authentic Highland plaid tartan, and a black leather bomber jacket with thigh high black leggings rolled to just above the knee. I am already pretty sassy in class as is, even if I am a girl of 50 years. Sweet!

—By cheraw on October 22, 2009 at 4:03 pm

  • As winter approaches I think its time we throw back to our high boot vintage style! The 1B60 20 Eye Zip Boot Patent are just what winter 2009 needs. This fall has been all about plaids so the vintage style of these boots are a perfect accent. Makes me want to pop some punk rock into the cd player and yell oy oy oy! Im thinking a green plaid skirt (just to mix it up from the classic red plaid skirt) with a black cami and baggie black sweater…clothes pins optional!! I adore these boots something fierce!

7B10 ST 7 Eye Extra Wide Boot

I don’t know anything about style or dressing hip. All I know is I work hard for a living. I am in law enforcement and I need a boot that will work as hard as I do. I work plane clothes division and need a boot that will fit and be comfortable for those double shifts. I have to look like an average person in my jeans and tee shirt. I can wear my Dr. Martens and they blend in perfectly. When I’m working I’m wearing a superior, stylish, comfortable, amazing piece of engineered footwear and nobody is the wiser!
