The first thing you should know is that it doesn’t have to be snowy outside before you break out these amazing boots. While it’s true that The North Face is world famous for outfitting expeditions to some of the highest, coldest, most intense places on the planet, it’s also true that they look awesome. Why would you ever want to wait for snow drifts for the chance to get out in these epic winter boots?

If your name is randomly selected from all of today’s eligible entries, you can choose either one of the two styles we’re featuring today. Our women’s style is perfect  if you love to be out in the cold and active or just like to look the part, The North Face Nuptse Fur will keep you toasty from the ground up, whether the day ahead of you is full of snow banks or coffee shops.

Women's The NOrth Face Nuptse Fur

Today’s style for men is The North Face Snow Beast Boot, and how great is that name? Just picture yourself looking out the window at the weather and saying something like “It looks like it’s time to break out the Snow Beast.” Waterproof, insulated and cool-looking, this ankle boot has it all.

  • My favorite holiday movie is Jingle All the Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger

—By Tony on December 2, 2011 at 12:23 am
  • A Miricle on 34th Street is my favorite holiday movie. If you don’t know the story, you’ll have to see the movie. It’s a sweet fable of an apparently loony old man who actually believes he’s Santa Claus. When he gets a job as the department store Santa for Macy’s, he bonds with the daughter of his boss. The daughter, played by a very young Natalie Wood, doesn’t believe in Santa, and Kris Kringle makes it his mission to change her mind.

This movie is the quintessential feel-good movie. It’s very lighthearted, and there really isn’t a dull moment throughout the film. The performances are genuine, or at least as genuine as you can get with a movie from the 40s.

Buddy: Sounds like somebody needs to sing a Christmas Carol.
    Jovie: No way.
Buddy: The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.
Jovie: Thanks, but I don’t sing.
Buddy: Oh, well, it’s just like talking, except longer and louder, and you move your voice up and down.
Jovie: I *can* sing, I just choose *not* to sing. Especially in front of other people.

  • Oh my word! It has to be the original, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” I have watched this movie ever since I was a small child. Whenever it was on, our large family of children (seven at home) would wait until my father could adjust the wire coat hanger on the television so the show would not be “snow.” Then we would huddle around in a half-circle so we all could see. My mom popped real popcorn, covered in butter and salt. We all felt so sad for Max, and loved Cindy Lou:) The singing at the end was wonderful, and it really taught us that Christmas was not about presents; it was the joy of being with family, and community, and rejoicing.

I have written to Make a Wish begging them to re-release this movie narrated by Randy Travis. If you can ever find a copy of this movie cherish it. There is not a better story to be told.

Some people have more than others and it’s too bad some pinheads decided that they can’t supply a product for all people. If Santa was real he would give the North Face coal for the holiday.

  • “It’s A Wonderful Life” is my favorite holiday film because it makes you think about your own life, and how you play a larger part in the lives of others than you may believe. George Bailey learns that though he had not accomplished everything he had set out to in his life; he was by far much richer and more successful in ways that truly counted. He realized that he was living a very blessed life surrounded by friends and family – the riches that matter most in the end. It reminds me each and every year just how blessed I have been thus far in life. Also, in my family it has been a tradition since I was a little girl to watch “It’s A Wonderful Life” and “White Christmas” after our dinner and dessert on Thanksgiving – something I continuously look forward to year after year since these are my absolute favorite holiday movies. These classic films have been bringing joy and holiday spirit to homes around the country for such a long time, but also deliver an overall message of how people, friends and family, are the most important part of the holidays and what they are truly about.

  • White Xmas. My sister and I started watching this movie during graduate school on Xmas eve and it has become a tradition for us. Just love the sisters song. And I was inspired by different elements of the movie to include in my wedding like the center pieces in the love song scene. O just a great movie

  • Although there are many wonderful Christmas movies, especially in the Hallmark Chanel, just recorded and watech Three Wise Women. I had not seen this movie previously and enjoyed it very much. It’s about a Doctor who goes back to the past and meets her true love, did I mention she was engaged.
Hope you can watch it on Hallmark Chanel.

  • My favorite movie is “Miracle on 34th Street” with Natalie Wood. It is the BEST movie EVER. Watching Santa Claus go to jail isn’t nice, but seeing the postal service recognize him in a court of law and the grownup wishes too.

  • I’d never watched The Christmas Story until I got married. It seems that this is my husband’s absolute, all-time fav movie ~ because of the Red Rider BB Gun! He remembers getting his Red Rider BB gun for Christmas and that movie brought back the memories of just how much he wanted Santa to bring it. Consequently, it is now our family’s favorite and my son was just six months old when my husband bought him his very first Red Rider BB gun. I so enjoy sitting and watching my kids (my daughter inherited the RRBG) and especially my husband as they watch the movie and repeat many lines of the script.

  • I love Miracle on 34th Street – it’s just really well done and not too overpowering – the message is pretty simple. Thanks for the awesome chance!

  • I can’t help it…I LOVE, love, LOVE Christmas vacation. I laugh every year when I watch it. The kids roll their eyes when I say it’s time to watch but deep down, they love it too. Who wouldn’t, right? Squirrels, lights, huge tree, christmas sweaters…it has it all! <3
