This Contest Closed

Thanks for all of your entries and sharing the music that puts you in the holiday spirit. What a great playlist!

The Day Ten giveaway is now closed, but we look forward to seeing you for Day Eleven and beyond. Please join us in congratulating today’s winner: Barbra M.!!

We’ll be contacting you soon!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

It’s day ten of the 12 Days of Giving and it’s time to get outside. We don’t mean running from the front door to the car door, we mean oh-you-tee, out…outside…out of doors. It’s time to grab your coat and see where real boots go to play. This is exactly the sort of weather that calls for great winter boots from Columbia. And that’s exactly what we are giving away. If your name is selected you get to choose either one of the two Columbia Bugaboot Plus styles we are featuring today.

The women’s Columbia Bugaboot Plus features a waterproof suede upper and injection-molded waterproof thermal rubber shell. They are sturdy, comfortable and have a couple hundred grams of Columbia’s Omni-Heat® insulation packed inside for toaster-level warmth. Plus, they are pretty sweet looking winter boots.

Columbia Bugaboot

The men’s Columbia Bugaboot Plus is also more than just fun to say. You know that song that goes “Anything you can do, I can do better…”? Comparing the men’s Bugaboot to the women’s Bugaboot is sort of like that, except the words would be “Anything you can do, I can do the same or similar…” Not dramatic in that context perhaps, but get these durable winter boots out in the snow and you’ll be impressed. They are waterproof, rugged, super-comfortable and provide great insulation for warmth. And they come in manly camo, too.

Men's Columbia Bugaboot

As always, entering the 12 Days of Giving is easy. Simply use the comment space below to answer today’s Question of the Day: “What is your favorite holiday song?”

It should be easy. Most of you even mentioned music as the thing that puts you in the holiday spirit. All you have to do is tell us the song that puts you in the mood to celebrate the holidays and you are in the running for a pair of fantastic Columbia boots.

Same fine print, different day:
To be eligible for this drawing, you must answer the Question of the Day in the comment section below (200 words maximum) before 11:59 PM (Pacific) on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. One daily winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries, and may select one of the day’s prizes. Today’s winner’s name will be published here, on this giveaway blog. Open to US residents only. No purchase necessary to win.

See the complete contest rules and regulations for all the details.

  • Pretty Paper sung by Roy Orbison is my all time favorite song at Christmas time. This song brings to mind how there is a bit of sadness that due to whatever circumstances there are people out there that are alone at what should be such a joyous time of the year celebrating the holidays together with others. And all too often we just don’t take the time to wish someone a Merry Christmas or say Happy Holidays, even if it is only a brief moment of our time to show that you care. How even a small gesture like that actually means so much. So for some, more than they will perhaps ever know.
    It is a beautiful song that I grew up listening to and will continue to play often every Christmas Holiday. It’s funny though as the years have gone by I can’t listen to this song without tears rolling down my face. I will be playing it while driving along or just while at home and as I am singing along with the song my two younger sons will start singing along too. I smile as it is a song that has such special meaning and they know what it means to me.
